A Defender seeks your attention

Greetings Allies.
I am a Supreme General and I represent the guild Defenders of Mirendil. I have talked to Arindor from our guild and he agreed with me, we need to come up with a name for the Alliance we have. We have a few suggestions, "Mirendill Alliance" was one.
The reason for the naming of the alliance is to make it easier for other defending guilds to become a member of the alliance, so we thought we could host a forum for the Alliance only where we could unite all defending Mirdain guilds under.

I say we try to unite all Supreme Generals from every Mirendil-defending guild in a meeting on a secret location ingame and ask them if they would like to be a part of the "Mirendil Alliance"

I fully agree an alliance name is in order.

We were actually leaning toward the name Mourningsong Alliance. ( various reasons but one is that 80% of the current alliance is from the Mourning server of shadowbane... but also as they name is sweet sounding.. we have used it as surnames in past.. and it indicated a sad but melancholy state)

While we have internally been referring to ourselves by this name we will be open to discussion and debate on this subject. and perhaps a vote...?

I always melted for the name Santenryu.. It just rolls over the tongue ^^; I believe it was an old ancient Chinese tribe that stood against the king for having too high taxes. I am not quite sure about that part =)

But i'm affraid it might not fit with elfies. I do like the previous given names. They are very fine as you think. Also because I am very new I cannot fully give my answer into this. I just set my mind free =)

Eventually the name would not matter, it is a matter of deeds ^^;

Hmm? *wipes the drool off his chin* Oh yes, we are still debating this topic. I think Archon put the name 'Radiance' forward, which has a nice ring to it. A lot of people have been leaning toward something with a single name since it is more catchy and simple. I think it would be clever to come up with something tied to the game lore regarding Mirdain society or perhaps we could focus on a theme that we all feel defines our goals as an alliance.

Hmm, how about something like Bane of Shadows? Wait! If we make that into one word we can be the 'Shadowbane' alliance, but that carries with it the name of a popular empire building MMORPG and is also already taken. Damn it! 'Radiance' has a nice ring to it.

Let's brainstorm here! Everyone pick a few names and just post them up! We can all decide which ones we like best afterward. This stuff works. Trust me.

My ideas:

Divinity (After all, we are the children of the usurper gods named the Myrthai and Lorathai)
The Elves
Heralds of Mirendil
The Keepers (..of the Mirendil Forest, that is.)
The Watchers (..or Watchmen if we want to be a little cheeky)

Taelisar put up the idea of 'Scions of Mirendil'
An offshoot I just thought up is 'Disciples of Mirendil'

Radience - Simple and to the point.
Yggdrasil - "Tree of life". Norse myth. (pronounced ig-dra-sil)
Penumbra - The ring of light surrounding the moon in a full eclipse.

Also it's nice if the name of the alliance makes it self-evident what we are about and who we are...

This is actually dependent on which source you reference, both of which are from official sources, but contradictory in many places.

I believe this timeline is where you found this reference to the Sirith river:
